Practical information

To make your stay more enjoyable we would like to inform you about some practical issues:

Welcome and registration

The registration for the conference starts on Monday, 23 October at 08:00 o’clock. The programme starts at 09:30. At the registration desk, you will receive a badge and other conference materials.

Parallel sessions

Teacher educators will present over 300 papers, posters, workshops and round table discussions. In some sessions multiple presentations are scheduled consecutively in a room so we kindly ask you not to change rooms during a session. The posters will be displayed on digital screens during the conference in front of conference halls Mare 1, 2 and 3. The conference programme for the ATEE 2017 Annual Conference is now available in PDF form for download here:

Digital book of abstracts

To prepare your choice of session, we would like to refer you to the digital book of abstracts:

Social dinner

If you registered for the social dinner, you will receive a ticket for this dinner at the registration desk, including travel directions to restaurant Mimoza.

Optional excursion

Dubrovnik Partner Agency offers excursions and a walking tour of Dubrovnik. You can register for a tour and get more information at the Registration desk or contact the agency representative Mrs. Tilda Bogdanović: tilda@dubrovnikpr.com

A FEW MORE TIPS

  • ELECTRICAL PLUGS 220 volts/50Hz. Plugs are 2-pronged and rounded, bring an adapter for your phone, tablet, laptop, etc. Mainland Europe’s plugs are mostly the same except for the UK's which are 3-pronged and flat.
  • Free Wi-Fi will be available for all at the conference venue (no password required).
  • It is safe to drink tap water at the hotel.
  • Drinks are not included in the conference lunch. You have to pay extra charge.
  • Local currency is Kuna (HRK). Most shops, restaurants and hotels accept credit cards. Visa and MasterCard are the most widely accepted cards. Most banks have ATMs where you can access your debit or credit account.
  • Exchange rate:
    • EUR: 1 € - 7.49 kn
    • GBP: 1 £ - 8.40 kn
    • USD: 1 $ - 6.36 kn

Dubrovnik is still fairly warm during October, but the temperatures are noticeably lower and it is rainier than in summer. In October the average temperature is 18˚C/ 64˚F.
