Marija Sablić, Ph.D., Associate Professor - Chair of the Organizing Committee, is the Head of the Department of Social Sciences at the Faculty of Education. Her fields of research interests include alternative pedagogy with special interest in Montessori pedagogy, intercultural pedagogy and professional development of teachers. She is a member of Administrative Council of ATEE.
Alma Škugor, Ph.D., Assistant Professor - Co-chair of the Organizing Committee. Her research interests include didactics of Science and Society, educational assessment, self-efficacy of teaching, professional development of teachers and Montessori pedagogy.
Ksenija Benčina is a senior English language instructor. She teaches courses in English language and speaking practice. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Linguistics at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek.
Branko Bognar, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek. He teaches Theories of education, Theories of education systems, Methodology of pedagogical research, and Methods of education. His main professional interest is connected with introducing changes in an educational practice whose aim was to break from the boundaries of traditional teaching. Related to that he endeavours to affirm an idea of action research in Croatian educational context and abroad particularly by using web-based technologies and e-learning. In addition he puts emphasise on development of teachers’ and students’ creativity and creative approach to science.
Tijana Borovac, Ph.D. is a Senior Assistant. She graduated from Teacher Training College in Osijek and Faculty of Economics. In 2014 she earned her Ph.D. in the field of early childhood pedagogy at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She worked as an educator in social therapeutic community for children and youth, a project assistant in NGOs. Her interests are early childhood education and professional development of early childhood educators.
Ivana Đurđević Babić, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of information and communication sciences. She teaches courses at integrated undergraduate and graduate five-year university class teacher studies. Her scientific and research interests include ICT in education, e-learning, neural networks, expert systems and artificial intelligence.
Zdenka Kolar Begović, Ph.D., Associate Professor - vice dean of Faculty of Education, works as associate professor at the the Faculty of Education and the Department of Mathematics, University of Osijek. Her research covers the field of nonassociative algebraic structures and geometry. She is the head of the Organizing and Scientific Committee of the International Scientific Colloquium Mathematics and Children. She is the member of the Croatian Mathematical Society and the editor-in-chief of the journal Osijek Mathematical Gazette.
Željko Rački, Ph.D. is an ECHA Specialist in Gifted Education and licensed educational psychologist by the Croatian Psychological Chamber with fourteen years of work experience in the educational system, including primary schools and institutions of higher education. His fields of research interests include educational psychology, psychology of creativity, and psychology of giftedness. He is employed at the Faculty of Education in Osijek, Croatia. He is a member of the Croatian Psychological Chamber, the Croatian Psychological Society, and the European Council for High Ability (ECHA).
Ivana Sekol, Ph.D. is a social pedagogue and criminologist. She has been an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Osijek since 2013 where she teaches Inclusive Education, Non-violent Commination and Research Methods in Education. Prior to this she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Zagreb (2012/2013). She also held research positions at the School of Law, Queen Mary University of London (2010/2011) and the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge (2007-2009).
Marko Šošić, Ph.D. is a Senior Assistant. He teaches courses in Visual arts and design. In this project he was in charge of the visual identity of the conference, which includes all printed and digital formats. Its characteristics should support the story on a local and global level and provide a distinctive look and a clear message of the conference.
Ivana Trtanj, Ph.D. is a Senior Assistant and teaches Croatian language, Language Culture and Functional Styles in Language Communication. She is a member of the Croatian team of the European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages (ECL) and a member of the Committee for Standardization and Testing Croatian as Second and Foreign Language at the National Centre for External Evaluation of Education. Her research interests involve first language acquisition, preschool and school children discourse development, early literacy development and Croatian as a second and foreign language.
Tihomir Vidranski, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor. His scientific and professional interests include research in physical education. He has participated in numerous scientific and professional conferences and published more than 45 scientific and professional papers as author or co-author in journals and conference proceedings. He was the Coordinator of Science project Kinesiological-anthropological characteristics of children with cochlear implant.
